The board is holding a discussion on ‘Facilities Planning and Facilities Study.’ These studies are frequently the first step school districts take before asking voters to approve multi-million dollar bonds, which lead to significant and long-term increases in property taxes.

ATTEND AND ASK QUESTIONS: This is the first step toward a potential bond. Attend the meeting and, during public comment on Item 3.A, ask the board: ‘Who is conducting this study and at what cost? Will the district commit to putting any proposed debt, including Certificates of Obligation, before the voters for approval?’
