Undisclosed Cost for Board Governance Training

📅 October 13, 2026

The entire board workshop is dedicated to training from a ‘Lone Star Governance Coach.’ These consultant-led sessions can be expensive and often result in pre-packaged ‘community engagement’ plans that sideline authentic parent feedback in favor of top-down metrics. The cost to taxpayers for this consultant is not disclosed in the agenda.

Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Contact the South San Antonio ISD board (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). Ask: ‘What is the total taxpayer cost for the Lone Star Governance training by Ben Mackey on the October 13 agenda, and will the proposed Community Engagement Plan be made public for review before any action is taken?’

💰 Impact: Undisclosed Consultant Fees
