WARNING (LEVEL 7)
Board to Select New Superintendent Behind Closed Doors
📅 October 20, 2026
The Sinton ISD board will interview a superintendent applicant in a private executive session and may vote to approve their selection immediately after. The superintendent is the most powerful non-elected official in the district, controlling the budget, curriculum, and all hiring decisions. This is the public’s primary opportunity to witness the board’s public vote on this critical leadership role.
Response

ATTEND THE VOTE: While the interview is legally private, the vote under Item V must be public. Attend the meeting to see how the board votes. If a ‘lone finalist’ is named, state law requires a 21-day waiting period before a contract can be signed. Contact the Sinton ISD board: ‘We expect full transparency on the superintendent finalist’s record and proposed contract during the 21-day review period.’
