Under Consent Item 4.C, the board is set to approve the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) as an official source for investment training. TASB is one of the largest taxpayer-funded lobbying organizations in the state, often working against parent and taxpayer interests in Austin. This vote directs district funds to a political organization under the guise of routine training.

DEMAND A RECORDED VOTE: Contact the San Elizario ISD Board of Trustees (see district website for contact info). ‘I demand Consent Item 4.C be pulled from the Consent Agenda for separate discussion and a roll-call vote. Taxpayers should not be funding the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), a group that lobbies against our interests.’
