⚠️ Warning (LEVEL 7)
Lobby Group TASB Drafting Local School Policy
📅 September 28, 2026
The board will vote on local policy revisions for student activities drafted by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Policy Service. TASB is a taxpayer-funded lobbying organization that often opposes parental rights and fiscal transparency at the state legislature. This contract uses local tax dollars to embed the policy preferences of an Austin lobby group into Petersburg ISD.
Response

DEMAND A RECORDED VOTE: Contact the Petersburg ISD board (see official agenda for contact info). ‘Regarding Item XII, I demand this item be pulled for a separate discussion and a roll-call vote. Why is the district paying TASB, an Austin lobby group, to write our local policies instead of developing them transparently here in Petersburg?’
