Heads up, taxpayers and parents: We’ve audited the upcoming PAMPA ISD agenda. There are 3 items targeting parental consent and taxpayer funds that need your immediate attention before the gavel falls.
🚨 Alert (LEVEL 9)
Vote to Adopt New Property Tax Rate
📅 September 28, 2026
The board will hold a public hearing and then vote to set the 2026-2027 property tax rate. This is the single most important vote determining the size of residents’ school tax bills, and it happens after a public hearing scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Response

SHOW UP & SPEAK UP: Attend the Public Hearing for Item V at 7:00 p.m. on September 28. Urge the board to adopt the ‘no-new-revenue’ tax rate during the vote on Item VII.A. ‘My family cannot afford a property tax increase. Please protect homeowners and adopt the no-new-revenue rate.’

💰 Impact: Higher Property Taxes
⚠️ Warning (LEVEL 7)
Adopting Lobby Group’s Policy Updates
📅 September 28, 2026
The board is scheduled to approve “Policy Update 127” from the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) as part of the consent agenda. TASB is a taxpayer-funded lobbying group that often works against parental rights and fiscal conservatism in Austin, and this vote adopts their pre-packaged policies for Pampa ISD.
Response

DEMAND A RECORDED VOTE: Email the Pampa ISD Board (contact info on the district website) and demand Item VI.D be pulled from the Consent Agenda for a separate discussion and a roll-call vote. ‘Taxpayers deserve to know who is voting to adopt policies from an Austin lobby group like TASB.’

💰 Impact: Lobbyist Influence

Report on “Multi-Tiered Systems of Support”
📅 September 28, 2026
The district will present a report on its “Multi-Tiered Systems of Support” (MTSS) program. While often presented as academic support, MTSS can be a vehicle for implementing Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and other behavioral interventions that may not align with parental values.
Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Contact the Pampa ISD administration (see district website for contact info). ‘Regarding Item IX.D, please make the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Report available to the public. Parents need to understand what behavioral and emotional curriculum is being implemented under this program.’
