SHOW UP & SPEAK UP: This is the official public hearing on the school district’s budget and your property tax bill. Attend the meeting and ask the board directly: ‘Are you adopting a tax rate higher than the no-new-revenue rate? If so, why?’ Demand that the full proposed budget and tax rate calculations be posted online immediately. Contact the district office to be sent the documents before the hearing.
