Marlin ISD has posted a notice for a “Special Meeting” but has failed to list any specific agenda items for discussion or action. This practice prevents taxpayers and parents from knowing what business will be conducted, effectively shutting the public out of the process.

Response

Contact the Marlin ISD Board of Trustees and administration immediately. Demand they post a full, detailed agenda for the September 30 Special Meeting, as required by the spirit of the Texas Open Meetings Act. A meeting with no public agenda is a meeting held in secret.
