This is the key opportunity for taxpayers to see the district’s spending plan and question officials before the tax rate is set. It is critical to ask if the proposed rate is higher than the ‘no-new-revenue’ rate. Due to rising property values, a rate that is the same or even slightly lower than last year’s can still result in a significant tax increase on your bill.
