Humble ISD’s policy reduces public speaking time from 3 minutes down to just 1 minute per person if more than 10 people sign up to speak. This rule effectively punishes public engagement on important issues by limiting the ability of parents and taxpayers to fully voice their concerns.

DEMAND YOUR RIGHT TO BE HEARD: Contact the Humble ISD Board of Trustees (see district website for contact info). ‘The policy of reducing public comment time to one minute when more than 10 speakers are present silences the community. I urge you to revise Board Policy BED (LOCAL) to guarantee a minimum of two or three minutes for every speaker, regardless of the number of speakers.’
