WARNING (LEVEL 7)
Hundreds of New Library Books on “No-Discussion” Agenda
📅 October 5, 2026
The board plans to approve two lengthy lists of new elementary library books by placing them on the consent agenda under Item III. The district’s own memo states this is for ‘routine… actions requiring no discussion,’ a tactic that prevents public debate on individual titles and bypasses accountability for the specific content being purchased with taxpayer money.
Response

DEMAND A RECORDED VOTE: Contact the Board of Trustees (see the Official Agenda link for details): ‘I demand Item III, the approval of library materials, be pulled from the consent agenda for a separate discussion and a roll-call vote. Parents and taxpayers deserve to know what books are being purchased and where each trustee stands.’

💰 Impact: Bypassing Parental Review
