Your 2026 Property Tax Bill is Being Decided
📅 August 26, 2026
Granger ISD is holding a public meeting to discuss its proposed budget and property tax rate for the 2026-2027 school year. This is the single most important meeting for taxpayers to influence how much they will pay. Officials may claim to be ‘lowering the rate,’ but rising property values often mean the district collects significantly more money from homeowners. This meeting is the only chance to ask direct questions before the final vote.
Response

PACK THE ROOM: This is the key meeting to stop a tax hike. Show up on August 26th and sign up for the public forum. Ask the board: ‘What is the no-new-revenue tax rate, and how does your proposed rate compare? How many more total dollars will the district collect from taxpayers this year versus last year?’

💰 Impact: Potential tax increase above the no-new-revenue rate.
