Vague ‘Data Review’ Could Hide Student Surveillance
📅 October 27, 2026
The board will receive a report titled ‘District Comprehensive Data Review’ with no supporting documents or explanation of what ‘data’ is being reviewed. This could be a benign financial update, or it could be the first step toward implementing student surveillance through data dashboards, ‘climate surveys,’ or social-emotional tracking without parental consent.
Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Contact the Fort Worth ISD Board of Education. ‘Regarding Item 7.A, the “District Comprehensive Data Review,” please make the full report and any associated materials public immediately. Parents and taxpayers deserve to know what student data is being collected and how it is being used before any new policies are based on this review.’

💰 Impact: Potential Student Data Harvesting
