Vague ‘Supportive Environments’ Initiative
📅 October 8, 2026
The board is discussing ‘Guardrail Progress Monitoring for Safe, Supportive, and Structured Learning Environments.’ This language is often a gateway for Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs, which can shift focus from core academics to subjective student surveys and emotional instruction.
Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Contact the CFBISD Board of Trustees (see district website for contact info): ‘Regarding Item 3.B, please provide the public with the full ‘Guardrail’ framework and any associated curriculum or vendors. Taxpayers need to know if this is a back door for Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs.’
