Trustee Candidate Interviews Held in Secret

The Board will interview candidates for a position on the Board of Trustees in a closed session, away from public view. This prevents taxpayers and parents from evaluating the candidates who will be making decisions about their money and their children’s education.

Response

Contact the Burleson ISD Board of Trustees (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). Demand that interviews for public office be held in an open session. ‘Regarding Item 3.A.1, the public has a right to see and evaluate candidates for the Board. Please conduct these interviews in the open.’
