Secret Book List Up for Approval
📅 October 19, 2026
The board plans to vote on a ‘Title Consideration List’ for August and September, but the list of books and materials is not included in the agenda. This prevents parents and taxpayers from reviewing potential curriculum materials before they are approved for student use.
Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Contact the Bullard ISD Board and ask for the ‘Title Consideration List’ under Item VII.B to be published immediately. Parents have a right to see what books are being considered for their children before a vote.

Undisclosed District Improvement Plan
📅 October 19, 2026
The board is conducting a ‘First Read’ of the District Improvement Plan, but the plan itself has not been made public with the agenda. These plans can be a vehicle for introducing controversial SEL or DEI-related initiatives without parental oversight.
Response

INVESTIGATE: Contact the Bullard ISD administration and demand the ‘District Improvement Plan’ for Item V.A be posted online for public review before any action is taken.

Undisclosed Change to Food Service Policy
📅 October 19, 2026
The board is voting on a change to the district’s food service charge policy without providing the text of the proposed change. This lack of transparency prevents parents from understanding how new rules might affect their families or the district’s finances.
Response

INVESTIGATE: Contact the Bullard ISD Board to request that the proposed new ‘Food Service charge Policy’ for Item VII.D be posted publicly before the meeting so parents can review it.

💰 Impact: Reduced Transparency
