Secret Review of Student ‘Suicide Prevention’ Posters

The school board is reviewing new ‘Suicide Prevention’ posters for elementary and secondary students behind closed doors in an Executive Session. While student safety is important, developing and reviewing public-facing materials in secret prevents parents from seeing what their children will be exposed to on sensitive mental health topics before they are finalized and placed in hallways.

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Since this is a review and not a final vote, email the school board to request that the proposed ‘Suicide Prevention’ posters be placed on the next public agenda for open discussion. Ask them: ‘Why are public-facing posters being reviewed in a secret session?
