School Approving Student Data-Mining and SEL Contract
| 📅 Vote Scheduled July 27, 2026 |
Under Item B16, the Board is voting on an $18,500 contract with Panorama Education. This company is notorious for creating ‘Social Emotional Learning’ (SEL) surveys that collect sensitive, non-academic data on students’ attitudes, beliefs, and home life. The contract states Panorama will use this data to ‘develop student interventions’ and drive ‘MTSS’ practices, which are systems used to apply psychological labels and behavioral plans to children, often without full parental consent. This is a gateway to data-mining our kids and replacing academics with psychological programming.
Recommended Action Plan
PACK THE ROOM: We need parents at the July 27th meeting. Sign up for public comment. Contact the School Board and demand they vote NO on Item B16. Tell them: ‘Parents do not consent to data-mining our children. Vote NO on the Panorama Education contract or face a recall effort.’
💰 Taxpayer Impact: $18,500 (plus the cost of your child’s privacy)
