Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for Westerville City. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
New Union Contracts Approved Without Public Text
📅 August 25, 2026
The board is voting to approve two new multi-year collective bargaining agreements with employee unions (OAPSE Locals 719 and 138), but the actual text of the agreements is not attached to the agenda. These contracts can lock in policies on teacher training, student discipline, and other critical areas for years to come, without parents seeing the details first.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Email Superintendent Angela Hamberg at hamberga@westerville.k12.oh.us: ‘I demand that items 6.11 and 6.12 be pulled from the Consent Agenda. The full text of these multi-year union contracts must be made public for parental review before any vote is taken.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Reduced Transparency
