Secret Policy Vote on ‘Student Safety’
| 📅 Final Vote Scheduled July 27, 2026 |
The Board is scheduled for a final vote to approve a bundle of policy updates from the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB Update 127). One of these policies, ‘FFF (LOCAL) STUDENT WELFARE – STUDENT SAFETY,’ is a major red flag. Policies with this title are often used as a backdoor to introduce rules on gender identity, pronouns, and mental health interventions that bypass parental notification. The district has not attached the text of these policies to the public agenda, preventing parents from knowing what they are voting on.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the district office and demand that the full text of all policies in ‘TASB Update 127,’ especially ‘FFF (LOCAL) Student Safety,’ be posted publicly before the vote. Email the Board of Trustees (find contacts on the district website): ‘I demand Item 6.A be tabled until parents have had at least one week to review the full text of the proposed policies. We will not accept a blind vote on our children’s safety.’
