Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for WARWICK VALLEY CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
🚨 HIGH CONCERN (LEVEL 9)
Vote on New Student Code of Conduct – Document Not Provided
📅 2026-08-24
The board is scheduled to approve the 2026-2027 Student Code of Conduct, a critical document that governs discipline, student rights, and behavior. The draft document was referenced but its text was not included in the agenda materials, preventing any public review before the vote.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Email the Board of Education (see district website for contacts) before Monday’s meeting: ‘We demand the vote on Item H.1, the Code of Conduct, be postponed until the full draft document is made public with at least one week for parental review. Do not vote on secret policies.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Hidden Policy Changes
👀 MONITOR (LEVEL 5)
Vague ‘Soil SES’ Bid Hidden in Consent Agenda
📅 2026-08-24
The board plans to approve a ‘Bid Authorization’ for ‘Soil SES’ as part of a bundled consent vote, with no explanation or attached documents. This prevents public scrutiny of what this is, who the vendor is, or how much it costs.
Recommended Action Plan

PULL FROM CONSENT: Email the Board of Education (see district website for contacts): ‘Regarding Item E.3, I request the ‘Soil SES’ Bid Authorization be pulled from the Consent Agenda for a separate discussion and public explanation. What is this for, who is the vendor, and what is the cost?’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Undisclosed
