District Strengthens Parental Notification Rights
📅 2026-08-25
The revised “Integrated Pest Management” policy (Policy 716) requires the district to annually inform parents of their right to be notified at least 72 hours before pesticides are used on school grounds. The policy also mandates public access to records of all chemical treatments, increasing transparency about your child’s school environment.
How to Lock It In

Show up to thank the Board for strengthening parental notification rights in Policy 716. Publicly praising this transparency makes it a standard for other districts and harder to reverse later. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) to express support for the first reading of this policy.
