NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
District Discussing ‘Whole Grade Sharing’ With Another District
📅 November 2, 2026
The board is holding a work session to discuss ‘whole grade sharing negotiations.’ This could mean merging entire grade levels with a neighboring district, a major structural change that would impact where your child attends school, class sizes, and academic programs. Parents need to be involved in these early conversations before a formal plan is presented for a vote.
Recommended Action Plan

ASK FIRST & SHOW UP: This is an early warning. Attend the work session on November 2nd to understand the ‘whole grade sharing’ plan. Email the Board (contact info on the district website): ‘Regarding Item III, what are the specifics of the whole grade sharing negotiations? Which district(s) are involved, which grades would be affected, and what is the educational and financial rationale for this potential change? Parents must be part of this conversation from the very beginning.’
