Public Comment Banned at ‘Special Meeting’ on District’s Future

The Board is holding a ‘special meeting’ to discuss the district’s long-range financial plans, which could include school closures or consolidations. Citing board policy for special meetings, they have completely banned public comment, preventing parents from having any say on these critical decisions as they are being discussed.
Recommended Action Plan

SHOW UP & OBSERVE: The Board is using a ‘special meeting’ to block all public comment while they discuss the district’s long-range financial future. Attend the meeting at 5:30 PM at Bronson Brookside Library to listen, take notes, and show the Board that parents are watching, even when they try to shut us out. Email the Board afterward (contact info on the district website) and demand a regular meeting with public comment before any of these ‘long-range plans’ are finalized.
