Board Meeting Opens with Ideological Land Acknowledgement
📅 September 23, 2026
The board will open its meeting by reciting a “Land Acknowledgement,” a political ritual recognizing specific indigenous groups and their “Elders past, present, and emerging.” This practice injects a specific political viewpoint into official proceedings, shifting focus from academics and district business to ideological statements.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: This is an ideological ritual that signals the board’s priorities. Note which board members champion this under item A.3 and track if this language starts appearing in curriculum.
