NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Secret Superintendent Interviews Shut Parents Out
📅 October 19, 2026
The board is interviewing candidates for the next Superintendent in a closed session, preventing parents from hearing the candidates’ vision for the district. This is the most critical hire the board will make, and the community is being excluded from the process until a final decision is presented.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Thrall ISD Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). Demand that the final candidates for Superintendent participate in a public forum to answer parent questions *before* the Board makes a final selection on Item 5. ‘The most important hire you make should be done in the light of day, not behind closed doors. We demand a public forum with the finalists.’
