⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
|
|
Vague $71k Contract for Undefined Student Services
The Board is voting on a $71,400 contract with Schaefer Education Solutions for vaguely defined 'services to support the education of eligible students.' This lack of specificity could hide anything from academic tutoring to behavioral or social-emotional programming. Parents deserve to know exactly what services this company will provide.
Recommended Action Plan
INVESTIGATE: Review the file 'Schaefer 26-27 Contract REDACTED.pdf' in the official agenda. Call the District Office at (513) 686-1700 and ask for Superintendent Chad Lewis. Message: 'Regarding Item 6.B, what specific services will Schaefer Education Solutions provide for $71,400? Parents need a clear definition before you approve this contract.'
💰 Taxpayer Impact: $71,400 (Undefined Services)

⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 3)
|
|
Ideological Language Added to District Mission
The district's official mission statement uses the keywords 'inclusive' and 'whole child.' While seemingly harmless, these terms are often used nationally to justify shifting focus from core academics to Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and other subjective, non-academic programming. This language provides the foundation for future policy changes.
Recommended Action Plan
Monitor: This language signals the district's ideological direction. Note it and watch for how these terms are used to justify new curriculum, surveys, or training in future meetings. No immediate action required.
💰 Taxpayer Impact: Shift from Academics to Social Programming
