The board is holding a discussion on its ‘Budget Advisory Committee’ under item 2.A. These committees can be used to provide political cover for controversial spending on ideological programs if they are not filled with parents who will scrutinize every line item.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND A SEAT AT THE TABLE: Contact the Spring Branch ISD Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). Ask: ‘Regarding Item 2.A, what is the selection process for the Budget Advisory Committee, and how will you ensure a majority of its members are parents without financial ties to the district? Parents must have a clear view of how our tax dollars are spent.’
