⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Superintendent's 'Retire-Rehire' Payout
📅 Discussion Scheduled Jul 7, 2026
The Board is discussing a 'retire/rehire' plan for several employees, including Superintendent Brian Woods. This allows an employee to collect a full-time salary while also drawing from their taxpayer-funded pension. This is a major financial decision that diverts money that could be spent in the classroom.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND ANSWERS: Email Superintendent Brian Woods at woodsb@svbearcats.org and call Board President Nate Pohlman at (419) 647-4111. Ask: 'We demand a full, public cost-benefit analysis of the Superintendent's retire/rehire plan. Why is this a better use of taxpayer money than hiring a new leader?'
