NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Superintendent Search Conducted in Secret Session
📅 October 19, 2026
The Board is meeting in a closed-door ‘Executive Session’ with the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) to discuss the search for a new Superintendent. This process excludes parents from the most important hiring decision in the district, preventing any public input on the qualifications and priorities for the next leader of our schools.
Recommended Action Plan

Email the Board of Education (see district website for contacts): ‘The selection of a new Superintendent is the most critical decision you will make. I urge you to conduct the search process with full transparency, including public forums to meet the finalists, rather than holding key discussions in Executive Session under Item 2. Parents deserve a voice in who will lead our district.’
