ALERT (LEVEL 4)

Weekend Budget Meeting Limits Parent Input

📅 October 10, 2026

The board is holding a critical ‘Board Budget Study Session’ on a Saturday morning. This timing makes it difficult for working parents to attend and provide input on how their tax dollars are spent, potentially allowing controversial priorities to be set with less public scrutiny before they come up for a final vote.

Recommended Action Plan

ASK FOR TRANSPARENCY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for contact info) and ask: ‘Why is the Board Budget Study Session being held on a Saturday morning when many parents cannot attend? Please ensure all materials are posted online well in advance and that no decisions are made outside of a regularly scheduled, accessible public meeting.’

💰 Impact: Reduced Parental Oversight
