⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Vague ‘Support Plan’ Could Hide SEL/MTSS Programs
📅 August 26, 2026
The board will vote on a ‘Support Plan’ for the Superintendent, supposedly to improve state accountability ratings. These plans are often used as a backdoor to introduce non-academic programs like Social Emotional Learning (SEL) or Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) instead of focusing on core academic recovery.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND DETAILS: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for contact info) and ask: ‘Please provide the full text of the Superintendent’s Support Plan under Item VIII.B. Parents have a right to know if this plan focuses on academic recovery or introduces non-academic programs before it is approved.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Academics Replaced by Social Engineering
ALERT (LEVEL 3)
Public Comment Restricted at ‘Special Meetings’
📅 August 26, 2026
The district’s policy, cited in the agenda, limits public comments to agenda items only during ‘special meetings.’ This procedural rule can be used to prevent parents from raising new or urgent concerns when the board wants to fast-track specific policies without broader public input.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: Track how often ‘special meetings’ are used. If this becomes a pattern to silence parents on emerging issues, we will need to challenge Policy BED (LOCAL). No immediate action required.

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Reduced Parent Voice
