Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for PFLUGERVILLE ISD. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.

⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)

Secret Hearing on High-Level Parent Complaint

📅 August 6, 2026

A parent has escalated a formal complaint to the highest level, forcing a board hearing. The board will discuss this in a closed-door session, citing codes for personnel and student privacy, hiding the nature of the complaint from the public. This indicates a serious conflict between a family and the district that lower-level administrators could not or would not resolve.

Recommended Action Plan

INVESTIGATE: A parent is fighting the district at the highest level. We need to know why. Attend the meeting to show support for this parent and find out the nature of the complaint. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask: ‘Why wasn’t this issue resolved before reaching a Level III grievance?’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Lack of Transparency

ALERT (LEVEL 3)

Public Comment Restricted to Single Topic

📅 August 6, 2026

The board is holding a special meeting where public comment is limited only to the items on the agenda. Since the only substantive item is a private parent complaint hearing, this effectively silences public input on all other district issues.

Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: This is standard for a ‘Special Meeting,’ but watch for this becoming a pattern in regular meetings. Parents’ right to speak on any issue is critical.

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Silencing Parent Voices
