Board Severely Restricts Public Comment Time

The board limits the entire public comment period for all parents and community members to a total of just 30 minutes. Additionally, parents are required to sign up to speak at least three hours before the meeting begins, creating a significant barrier for busy families.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND YOUR RIGHT TO BE HEARD: Email the board at board@pasadenaisd.org and sign up to speak on Item II. ‘The 30-minute total time limit and 3-hour pre-registration requirement under Policy BED (LOCAL) are unacceptable barriers to public accountability. We demand you revise this policy to allow for meaningful parental participation.’
