District Considers ‘Pay to Participate’ Fees for Student Activities
📅 October 28, 2026
The Extracurricular Committee is holding a presentation and discussion on a ‘Pay to Participate’ policy under Item 6. This could mean parents will be forced to pay new fees for their children to join sports teams, clubs, and other extracurricular activities.
Recommended Action Plan

This is the time to speak up before a ‘Pay-to-Play’ policy is created. Attend the virtual meeting (details in the agenda) and contact the Board to ask: ‘How will charging fees impact students from families on a budget? Will this new financial burden reduce student participation in the very activities that build character and community?’
