NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)

Board Meeting Closed to Public Comment

📅 October 29, 2026

The Board has scheduled a ‘Special Meeting’ and explicitly stated twice that ‘There will be no public participation.’ They are making a legalistic distinction between a ‘meeting in public’ and a ‘public meeting’ to justify shutting parents out of the process.

Recommended Action Plan

Call Board President Brandon Lester at (740) 657-4050 and ask: ‘Why is the public being barred from participation at the October 29th Special Meeting? A ‘meeting in public’ must still be accountable to the public. We expect the board to govern transparently, not behind closed doors.’
