Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for Oakwood City, City School District. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
|
🚨 HIGH CONCERN (LEVEL 8)
|
|
Secret Contracts for School Administrators
The Board is voting to approve new contracts and amendments for 12 administrators, including Superintendent Gupta, under Item 9.G. The actual contract documents, which detail salaries, bonuses, and duties, have not been made public with the agenda. This is a major transparency violation that hides how top officials are compensated.
Recommended Action Plan
PACK THE ROOM: Call Board President John Wilson at (937) 297-5332 and state: 'Postpone the vote on Item 9.G. The public has a right to review all administrative contracts *before* they are approved. We demand full transparency.'
💰 Taxpayer Impact: Undefined Liability

⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
|
|
Approving a Secret $29,000 Payment
The Board is rubber-stamping a $29,000 'Then and Now' payment to an unknown vendor, 'Danda, LLC.' This means the district already spent the money without prior board approval. Parents have a right to know what this company does and why proper financial procedures were ignored before the check is cut.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Email Treasurer Laura Sauber at lsauber@sharedresourcecenter.org: 'I demand Item 4.B be pulled for a separate discussion. Who is Danda, LLC, and what services were provided for $29,000 before the Board approved the purchase?'
💰 Taxpayer Impact: $29,000 (Bypassed Oversight)
