👀 MONITOR (LEVEL 5)
Vague “Spanish Books” Item on Agenda
📅 August 18, 2026
The agenda lists an item for “Spanish Books” presented by the IB Director with no further details, attachments, or list of titles for parental review. This lack of transparency could allow ideologically-driven or age-inappropriate materials to be approved without oversight.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘Regarding the “Spanish Books” agenda item for the August 18th meeting, I request that a full list of the proposed books, including titles and authors, be made public for parental review before any discussion or vote.’
