ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Board ‘Leadership Training’: A Trojan Horse for Ideology?
📅 August 11, 2026
The board and superintendent are holding a ‘Team of Eight’ leadership training focused on ‘Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes’ (EISO). While the title sounds bureaucratic, these closed-door sessions are often where outside consultants introduce ideological frameworks like ‘equity’ and ‘social-emotional learning’ to district leadership, which later become official policy. The public has no information on the trainer, Cody Record, or the content of his presentation.
Recommended Action Plan

INVESTIGATE & PUT ON NOTICE: Email the Melissa ISD Board of Trustees. Ask for a copy of all training materials that will be provided by consultant Cody Record for the August 11th ‘Team of Eight’ session. Parents have a right to know what is being taught to our district’s leaders before it shapes policy for the entire school year.
