⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 5)
Secret Revisions to Student Athlete Rules
📅 Meeting on July 13, 2026
The Athletics Committee is discussing ‘Proposed Revisions for Athletic Code of Conduct’ under item 3.C. The agenda provides no details or attached documents outlining what these changes are. This lack of transparency is concerning, as codes of conduct can be used to quietly insert policies on student speech, gender identity, or other ideological requirements for participation in sports.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TO SEE THE DRAFT: Call Board President and Committee Chair Alonzo Blackwell at (216) 587-6100. Ask: ‘Why are the proposed revisions to the Athletic Code of Conduct not available for public review before the July 13th meeting? Parents have a right to see what rules our student-athletes will be forced to follow.’
