ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Meeting Rescheduled, Reducing Parent Access
📅 November 17, 2026
The district has cancelled its regularly scheduled board meeting for Thursday, November 19th and moved it two days earlier to Tuesday, November 17th. Changing the date of a public meeting on short notice can prevent working parents who planned to attend from being able to rearrange their schedules, reducing public oversight of the board’s decisions.
Recommended Action Plan

Call Macomb Academy’s main office at (586) 228-2201 and ask why the regularly scheduled meeting was moved. Remind them that predictable meeting schedules are essential for parental involvement and request that future changes be made with more consideration for public participation.
