NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Board Can Cap Public Comment at 30 Minutes
📅 October 28, 2026
The agenda states the Board can limit total public comment on any single item to just 30 minutes. This rule could be used to silence a large group of parents who show up to speak on a controversial topic, effectively cutting off debate after only 10 speakers.
Recommended Action Plan

Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and email the Board of Trustees. ‘Regarding Item 3.B, we oppose the 30-minute total time limit on public comment for any agenda item. This rule can be used to silence parents and must be removed to ensure every voice is heard.’
