School Boundary Redrawing Process Begins
📅 October 5, 2026
The district is holding a study session on redrawing elementary school boundaries. This is the first step in a process that could lead to your child being moved to a different school, potentially far from your neighborhood, based on ‘planning considerations’ that have not yet been shared with the public.
Recommended Action Plan

ATTEND & ASK QUESTIONS: This is a ‘study session,’ so no vote will be taken, but it’s where the Board’s direction is set. Attend the meeting and ask the Board during public comment: ‘What specific criteria will be used to guide the boundary committee? Will preserving neighborhood schools and minimizing disruption for students be the top priorities?’ Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) to confirm public comment rules for study sessions.
