⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Portrait of a Graduate: Academics or Activism?
📅 2026-08-15
The board is voting to approve its ‘Portrait of a Graduate,’ a document that defines the district’s goals for every student. These profiles often de-emphasize core academic mastery in favor of vague, subjective social-emotional traits which can open the door to ideological curriculum.
Recommended Action Plan

INVESTIGATE: The ‘Portrait of a Graduate’ document is not included in the agenda. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and demand a copy be posted publicly before the vote. Ask the board: ‘Which specific academic standards will be de-prioritized to make room for teaching these subjective traits?’
