ALERT (LEVEL 3)
Decisions Made Behind Closed Doors
📅 August 17, 2026
The Board is holding a special meeting at 3:00 PM, a difficult time for most working parents to attend, and will immediately enter a private ‘Executive Session’ to discuss contracts and personnel. While legal, this combination of timing and privacy means controversial hires or vendor agreements could be negotiated without public oversight before being presented for a quick vote later.
Recommended Action Plan

MONITOR: Contact the Board of Education (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘We are concerned about the 3 PM special meeting time and the use of an Executive Session. We request that any actions resulting from this private session, especially new hires or contracts, be fully detailed and voted on individually in a public meeting with adequate time for parental review.’
