District Rules Limit Parent Speaking Time at Board Meetings
📅 September 29, 2026
The district requires parents to sign up online by noon the day before a meeting to speak. Furthermore, if more than 10 people sign up, speaking time is cut to just one minute each, severely limiting parents’ ability to voice concerns on controversial topics.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TO BE HEARD: These rules silence parents. Contact the Board of Trustees (see the Official Agenda link for contact info) and demand they revise Board Policy BED (LOCAL) to allow for same-day, in-person sign-ups and guarantee a minimum of two minutes per speaker, no matter how many people wish to be heard.
