NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Public Comment Time Slashed for Popular Topics
πŸ“… November 2, 2026
The district’s policy, BED (LOCAL), automatically reduces each parent’s speaking time from 3 minutes down to as little as 1 minute if more than 10 people sign up to speak. This rule effectively silences parents on the most controversial issues by preventing them from making a complete argument when it matters most.
Recommended Action Plan

Email the Board of Trustees (contact info on the district website): ‘Your public comment policy, BED (LOCAL), punishes parents for showing up. We demand a minimum of 2-3 minutes per speaker, regardless of how many people sign up. Restore our right to be heard.’
