State-Commissioned Forensic Audit of District Finances

The district’s Finance & Audit Committee is reviewing a forensic audit report commissioned by the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE). This type of deep-dive investigation is only launched when there are serious concerns about financial mismanagement, raising questions about whether taxpayer money intended for students has been properly spent.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: The full forensic audit report must be made public immediately. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and demand that the Board release the full CSDE Forensic Audit Report discussed in Item 1.01 and schedule a public town hall to discuss its findings.
