Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for GRANGER ISD. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Superintendent’s “Goals” Set in Secret Closed Session
📅 2026-08-19
The board will discuss and set the Superintendent’s performance goals in a closed session, hidden from public view. These goals often drive district-wide priorities and could include mandates for DEI, SEL, or other ideological initiatives without any parental input or oversight.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). State: ‘The Superintendent’s goals are a matter of public interest and should be debated in open session. We demand that the final, approved goals and objectives be made public immediately following the vote, so parents know how the district’s leader is being measured.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Undisclosed Performance Metrics
👀 MONITOR (LEVEL 5)
Opaque Budget Workshop Hides Spending Details
📅 2026-08-19
The board is holding a “Budget Workshop” without providing any public documents or specific line items for review. This format allows for major financial decisions, including funding for controversial programs or vendors, to be discussed and shaped away from public scrutiny before a formal vote.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: The community cannot provide input on a budget they cannot see. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for contact info) and demand that all budget workshop documents and proposed line items be posted publicly online at least 72 hours before the meeting.
