Hiding Spending in ‘Miscellaneous’ Budget Changes
📅 October 20, 2026
The board is voting on ‘Miscellaneous’ budget amendments without providing any public detail on what money is being moved or for what purpose. This practice allows controversial spending on ideological programs or vendors to be approved without parental scrutiny.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Germantown Board of Education before the meeting (see the Official Agenda link for contact information): ‘Regarding Item 3, Miscellaneous FY 26-27 Budget Amendments, I demand a full, public explanation of every line item in amendments #10 and #11 before any vote is taken. Parents will not approve a blank check.’
